5 minutes to focus on you

Welcome to the land of green light all around and blue sky forever. I created a new journaling exercise to write about my day. First I scheduled 5 minutes daily to journal but soon after journaling became boring. Discovered I truly enjoy writing about life from above 30,000 feet. What do I think. Why do I believe. How do I feel. Now I’m trending a better life experience and I’m writing more often. I’m no expert! Welcome to the land of green light all around and blue sky forever. Consider optimism.

Consider the value of 5 minutes a day to reflect about personal thoughts and feelings.

Start your day right by dedicating just 5 minutes to focus on yourself. Nothing about yesterday and nothing about tomorrow. The idea is to feel good in the present for 5 minutes without thinking about yesterday or planning for tomorrow. Try scheduling just 5 minutes of personal time for self-care journaling in the morning.

Set the timer on your phone for 5 minutes and activate airplane mode to ensure no distraction for 5 minutes. Sit in a safe, quiet, and comfortable location and think about you for 5 minutes.

12 powerful affirmations tailored for self-reflection and self-care:

  1. “I am capable, strong, and worthy of love.”
  2. “Every challenge I face is an opportunity for growth and learning.”
  3. “I choose to focus on what I can control and let go of what I cannot.”
  4. “I deserve to prioritize my well-being and happiness.”
  5. “My self-worth is not dependent on the validation of others.”
  6. “I am enough, just as I am, and I embrace my uniqueness.”
  7. “I trust in my abilities to overcome obstacles and create the life I desire.”
  8. “Self-care journaling is not selfish; it’s essential for my overall well-being.”
  9. “I celebrate my progress, no matter how small, as each step forward is significant.”
  10. “I honor my feelings and give myself permission to feel and express them.”
  11. “I radiate positivity and attract abundance into my life.”
  12. “I am the architect of my destiny, and I choose to design a life filled with joy and fulfillment.”

If you don’t have a quiet place to reflect and think, perhaps your car can be a useful sanctuary for 5 minutes of solitude and introspection in the morning. I had Auto-Reflections in my car before leaving to work, created Green Light Blue Sky and started new writing exercises while sitting with silence for 5 minutes every day in my car.

Set the timer on your phone for 5 minutes and activate airplane mode to ensure no distractions. Sit alone in a safe and comfortable location. Think about you and how you feel about you for 5 minutes. Journal about how you see things happen around you or what you like most about the universe. Write about your favorite recipe. Consider the value of 10 minutes a day to reflect about personal thoughts and feelings and consider optimism.
