Level 6 – Day 3-4: Understanding Habit Loops

What’s This About?

Habits follow a cycle: Cue Routine Reward. Recognizing this loop helps you regain control over your behaviors and make intentional changes.

Activities:

  • Identify the top three triggers that lead to your bad habit (e.g., stress, boredom, specific environments).
  • Write out a habit loop for one bad habit, clearly defining the cue, routine, and reward.

Why Is This Important?

Once you understand the mechanics behind your habits, you can intentionally disrupt negative cycles and replace them with better ones.

Chris Thomas Notes:

Understanding your habit loops puts you in the driver’s seat. The key to lasting change is knowing what triggers your behaviors.
