Level 2 – Day 11-12: Identifying Negative Thoughts

What’s This About?
Now that you’ve begun to build awareness of how your thoughts affect your mood, let’s identify specific negative thoughts that may hold you back. Recognizing them is the first step to overcoming them.

Fun Activities:

Activity 1: Keep a journal for a full day, and write down any negative thoughts or self-doubts that come up. For each thought, try to remember what was happening right before it—did something trigger these thoughts?

Activity 2: At the end of the day, review your journal and try to categorize the negative thoughts. Are they related to self-worth, fear of failure, or something else?

Why Is This Important?
Identifying negative thoughts helps you see patterns and recognize triggers. Once you understand where these thoughts come from, you can work on changing them.

Chris Thomas Notes:
When I started writing my negative thoughts, I noticed a lot of them were about fear of not achieving what I wanted. By writing them down, they seemed less meaningful.
