Level 2 – Day 13-14: Challenging Negative Thoughts

What’s This About?
It’s time to challenge your negative thoughts. Often, we accept them as facts when they’re really just interpretations or assumptions.

Fun Activities:

Activity 1: Pick two or three negative thoughts from your journal. For each one, ask yourself: “Is this really true?” “What evidence do I have for or against this thought?”

Activity 2: Create alternative, positive statements that you could replace the negative thoughts with. For example, if you wrote, “I’m never going to succeed,” try replacing it with, “I can succeed with effort and persistence.”

Why Is This Important?
Challenging negative thoughts helps you realize that they’re not as powerful or truthful as they seem. Over time, this can make you more resilient.

Chris Thomas Notes:
I had a negative thought about not being good enough at a new skill. When I looked at the evidence, I realized I had already made a lot of progress!
